Frequently asked questions

Is Saigon Skydeck worth it?

Yes, if you want the old centre and the river from above: the deck sits right over Nguyễn Huệ Street, so you see the places you walk through. The deck is fully enclosed, though, and at night the interior lights reflect in the glass, so photos are best in daylight.

How long does a visit take?

Most visitors spend 30 minutes to 1 hour on the deck, longer at sunset if you wait for the city lights.

What is the best time to go?

Late afternoon, around 16:30 to 17:30, gives you the city in daylight, the sunset and the lights coming on in one visit: the sun sets between about 17:30 and 18:20 through the year. Last entry is at 20:00. Weekdays are quieter, and a clear day matters more than the hour.

Do I need to book in advance?

No, tickets are sold at the counter on the day. Booking online costs the same and can be cancelled free up to 24 hours ahead, but the voucher is valid only on the date you choose.

Saigon Skydeck or Landmark 81 SkyView?

Landmark 81 SkyView is higher, on floors 79-81 of Vietnam's tallest building, and stands north of the centre. Saigon Skydeck is lower but in the middle of the old centre, so the streets, the river bend and the market are close below you rather than in the distance.

Does the ticket include EON51?

No. EON51, the café, restaurant and Heli Bar on floors 50-52, is a separate venue: you go up by ordering food or drinks there, without a Skydeck ticket.

Can I bring food or drinks?

No outside food or drinks, and no chewing gum or smoking. Bags may be checked at the entrance.
